Manny and the Sox are on fire

It’s still early, but the Sox are looking very decent this year and my main man Manny is being Manny.

And of course the Red Sox are in first place. Between Manny, Papi, Beckett, Pappels and that wild Dice-K (5-0), there’s just too much juice for the rest of the league to handle. Oh yes, it’s going to be another good year in Beantown.

‘Member that time Manny cut the throw from CF (think it was from The Savior, Johnny Damon)? THAT was easily one of my favorite sports memories. I mean, I’ve seen 5 year olds with better baseball defense situational awareness than Manny displays at times. Those 5 year olds don’t mash like Manny though! While I tend to prefer real baseball (read: NL), my team ain’t holding it down right now so I may have to see what Boston’s bringing these days. sigh…

Is Mirabelli still with the Red Sox? He played ’round these parts when my brother played and I recall he was regarded as an arrogant POS then. Of course the same could be said of a lot of high school ballers. I remember he was kinda still in dack mode when he got traded from the Padres to the Red Sox. When your “talents” are limited to a very specific niche in your sport, you should probably keep your head down and keep banking those checks as long as someone’s willing to cut them.

Nah, Doug is no longer with the Sawks. Now they’ve got some other knuckle ball specialist and I aint talking about one of Clemens’ many hoes, though we do have them, meaning hoes, on staff as well. Niches indeed.

    Fuck that, go Yanks..
